When I was in high school, we were required to take a civics class entitled "Contemporary American Problems" (C.A.P.). I wonder how many schools around the country have a required civics class these days.

The dumbing down of committees...
I see on the MSNBC news ticker this morning that soon-to-be Speaker of the House John Boehner has offered Rep. Michelle Bachman (R-MN) a seat on the Congressional Intelligence Committee.
